Aliénor Dauchez

Aliénor Dauchez is artistic director of La Cage, visual artist, director and artistic director of La Cage.
First trained as an engineer at UTC in Compiègne, she went on to study visual arts at the UdK in Berlin with Gregor Schneider and at the Beaux-Arts in Paris with Giuseppe Penone. She was assistant to Anna Viebrock, Sasha Waltz and Heiner Goebbels. In 2017 she was a fellow at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart and in 2018 she participated in the Berlin Programme for Artists.
For her visual work, she received the prizes of the Ulrich and Burga Knispel Foundation, the Elsa Neumann Scholarship of the State of Berlin, and the Master Student Award of the President of the UdK. Her work, in the form of sculptures, video or performance, explores the relationship between the body, objects and their boundaries. She has been exhibited at the Beach office and the Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin, at the Couvent de la Tourette by Le Corbusier in Éveux, at the Biennale d'art contemporain in Moscow, as part of the HOTEL EUROPA project in Vilnius, Brussels and Tbilisi, and also at the Kunstverein Hildesheim.
