Felix Kiessling

Born 1980 in Hamburg. Lives and works in Berlin.
He is a graduate of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and the Institute for Spatial Experiments funded by Olafur Eliasson, who was his teacher during his Master’s degree in 2014.
Felix Kiessling’s practice is characterized by extensive fieldwork and research into environmental forces, and many of his works experiment with ideas of space, time, emptiness, weight and gravitation. Kiessling describes his artistic material as at the interface between things that we see, that which we individually construct, and fact.
