Andrea Karch

Andrea Karch is a visual artist and designer. From 2012 to 2014 she worked on an interview project in Cairo, Egypt which marked the beginning of her continuous investigation of media and network culture. Her video work Radical Youth has been exhibited at the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, the 7th Poppositions Art Fair in Brussels, at S.M.A.K Ghent and at the Berlin Masters annual exhibition where it was shortlisted for the TOY Award 2018. Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Arts Bremen, Germany and completed her Master of Fine Arts in Design at the Sandberg Institute, Masters Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She lived and worked in Bremen, Cairo, New York, Amsterdam and Berlin and will begin her artist residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie Maastricht in November 2021.
